PSO2 always had a MTX issue. PSO2 has lot of cover walls. For meseta pso2 Room, Respecs, Multiple Specs, Mags, Multiple Mags, Mag Respecs, limits that are Selling/Buying, Trading limits, Character recustomization. As most PSO2 players can tell you a lot of this can be worked around by time you hit max level since there are alternate way to get these features. But for a brand-new player it a solid cover wall. You may very much appreciate PSO2 inspite of this but it something to bear in mind. In terms of real loot boxes it unfair and fair. It seems unlikely you can find a specific item from a loot box. Nevertheless it can't be viewed by you. Boxes that are loot essentially is a way to use cash to purchase meseta.
Can be offered on auction house. So that you utilize meseta you get from loot box or from playing PSO2 and purchase. Everything is accessible with sufficient time. Overall I think that its at a place. On subject of community I was kind of disappointed. I have a good deal of memories of PSO PSU in which you had this EN community of gamers. So 1 reason I really wanted a PSO2 EN server was to find that neighborhood. While PSU server was quite memey since you watch"Over 9000" kind of jokes back then it was still pretty nice community. However PSO2 community exists somewhere on the boundary of"Trolling and Hazardous". I have blocked literally hundred individuals posting raw pornography Symbol Chat
Outside of lobbies people jsut and it's a social vibe to it when you do get a bunch. This may be exactly the fact that PSO and PSO2 are extremely different games. Where PSO really call for a solid team to do a great deal of stuff, PSO2 you are able to solo essentially anything if you're good enough. And things that can't be solo are giant zergs. Game is fun, courses are fun, lot of nostalgiaworld and lost of fun dressup. But specifically on subject of Community and Monetization it ohonestly not great. Never played PSO2 earlier, tried it for the very first time last week, bombarded with so many informations. I have overwhelmed with a lot of stuffs in the sametime, then also found out the that you want to pay monthly subscription to sell in AH? That's an OOF for me. Overall, just a lot of stuffs thrown at you.
PSO2 finally gave me the push to devote to PSO as my online game. I really wanted to love PSO2 but the way they turned it into a"play 30+ minutes daily forever or you will lose out on all of these exclusives forever" monetization only kills me. I can't dismiss it when it is there because trend is such a big portion of PSO2 and most things are really easy to get in the event that you just log in. However, I also don't wish to be the kind of person that has to drop everything each day to go play 1 game no matter what. It's more healthy to quit now. Not to mention hitting maximum level at a day makes leveling a grind that is useless, and"glass cannon" being the sole viable build for every course, among other issues. First PSO has its difficulties but at least I know to stop waiting for something magically.
I perform regularly on the GC and DC PSO servers that are and there has been a growth in player base since NA PSO 2 acquired announced. But the players online stay at a continuous number. We could hit 30 on a weekend day which, may not seem like a lot but trust me theres a great achievement on GC. Dreamcast going strong also logging in regularly, albeit a bigger neighborhood than GC. Blue Burst has the player base by og PSO, they do but no more drama BB myself. I dont think PSO will die tbh. I do like PSO2, but it just doesn't have that allure about it. I only dip in and PSO2 Meseta for sale outside of it.
